There was a lot of cheering at the San Diego Country Estates home of Joan and Hal Gansert on Sunday when they hosted a Super Bowl party for about 30 friends. Fans of the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers intermingled, often going back and forth in taking sides. When the final score of 31 to 25 in the Packers’ favor was announced, cheers could be heard around the neighborhood.

The Ganserts used to live in Wisconsin, so it was a given which side they were cheering on to victory. Joan said the majority of their guests also favored the winning team but there were some Steelers fans in the crowd.
