After an opening number, casual wear, formal wear and on-stage questioning, two Ramona girls were crowned with the Miss Ramona and Teen Miss Ramona title.

Brianna Abarca took the Miss Ramona honor, with Brenna Brean as the runner up. Teen Miss Ramona went to Shannon Singleton (a princess in last year's pageant), with Teen Princess Ramona going to Elizabeth Bowersox.

"I can't even believe it still!" Abarca told Patch. "I'm probably going to be looking around for my crown tomorrow morning!"

Singleton, who cried on stage as she was crowned, said she was extremely excited to have won the teen title.

"This has been the best experience of my life," she said.

The girls were judged on casual attitude, formal wear and interviewing skills, which were weighted the highest in the competition.

Judges included former Miss Lakesides, Teen Miss Lakeside, Miss Rodeo Lakesides and Miss Julian 2004.

The event was sold out, according to pageant director Jill Fleming, who promised there would be extra seating at next year's event.

Kilyaahwii Linton, Miss Ramona 2012, and Chersten Sandvik, Teen Miss Ramona 2012, were honored for their community service last year and gave tearful goodbyes at the pageant.
