DRESSAGE FROM THE JUDGE'S POINT OF VIEW

Improve your scores and develop an understanding of basic dressage. This is for Western Dressage as well as traditional Dressage!

Saturday, February 22, 2014 10AM to 2PM SDCEA International Equestrian Center 16911 Gunn Stage Rd. Ramona, Ca. 92065

Overview of the day: We will discuss the topics below.  Each participant will have the opportunity to ride two tests and "judge" two tests, with assistance.

To keep costs down, each participant can bring their own drinks or snack. We could also have pizza delivered if anyone prefers.

10AM   DISCUSSION:

  • How Tests Are Scored
  • Importance of Collective Marks
  • Important Definitions
11AM  Begin riding/judging
  • Each participant will have the opportunity to ride a test and judge a test, with assistance.
Break/Lunch   After Lunch:
  •  Each participant will have the opportunity to ride and judge a second test.  (You will be surprised at how much you improve from the first ride!) 
A schedule will be emailed the day before - to confirm actual ride times.   If you are unable to ride (due to injury/surgery,etc.) let me know.  I have a plan for you as well.    RSVP by Tuesday, Feb. 18th -- or ASAP   Let me know if you have any questions.
