Ramona Resident Rallying for Skate Park

It's been said that here in Ramona, activities for youth are few and far between.

But one resident is trying to change that. Joe Minervini is working on getting a small skate park in Ramona where kids can skateboard.

Minervini said he plans on starting small with a few skate ramps and rails. If interest grows, Minervini said he hopes that parents can contribute their time and the county might be able to help out with funding.

Is skateboarding a favorite activity of yours? Do your kids want a park to go practice their tricks at?

Anyone interested in a possible skate park in Ramona is being asked to please contact Joe Minervini at jminervini1@cox.net. Email is preferred, but Minervini can also be contacted at 760-787-5763 or 619-204-0391.
