Things to know in Ramona Monday.

Share Your Holiday applications- The annual Ramona Food and Clothes Closet holiday program kicked off recently and applications will be taken from families Dec. 2-6 from noon to 4 p.m. at the organizations office (773 Main St).

Families that take part in the program receive toys for kids ages 1 to 12 and a large box of food for the holidays. Donations can be dropped off at the Food and Clothes Closet or at any of the many bins at businesses around town.

To qualify for the program an adult family member must prove residency in Ramona, Julian, Santa Ysabel, Ranchita, Warner Springs or Borrego Springs, have picture ID, and document the entire household income, including employment, Social Security, disability, food allowance, unemployment compensation and child support.

Cyber Monday Ramona Style- Think about buying local if you do some online shopping today. Here are a couple ideas how:

  • There are more than a thousand items for sale on Etsy.com from sellers located in and around Ramona, mostly crafts, vintage items, home decor and clothes. Like shopping Main Street antique and boutique stores without leaving home (likely because a lot of them sell online as well).
  • It's a few days late to buy new Bulldogs apparel for the football season, but there are a lot of other sports to root for and there's always next season.
Holiday Wreath Making Workshop at the Library- starts at 10:30 a.m.

Photos: Bulldogs, Cheerleaders, Band and Fans at the Final Game of the Season- In case you missed them, check out photos from last week's semifinal football game at Ramona High. A sad end, but great season!
