Linda, The Estates people have been looking for an easier/quicker way for them to commute down the Read Morehill for years. Please take your idea to our local Planning Group or better yet, start with the local Trails & Transportation Committee. If you're willing to carry the ball, write me at: jminervini1@cox.net and I'll give you more info. There is a lot you should know.

I had hoped to see more comments on the post in order to get an idea of how people felt about this. Read More Since there has been little discussion, people must not care.

Jennifer, take some of the bugs in for testing to see if they carry Chagas. It's highly unlikelyRead Moretha t they do. Some people just have a bad allergic reaction to their bite. Remember it's not the bite that transers the chagas but the bugs in the feces. Check with your doctor to be sure. I have not seen these bugs where I live, N. Ramona.

Jennifer, read the complete article that Mary posted. You will see the bugs here do not poop whileRead Moreb lood sucking as the South American bugs do. Therefore the poop carrying the bugs won't be near your mouth, eyes or wounds to enter the body. It's rare to get chagas here at this time but not impossible.

thank you sue. i have been researching this for about 2 years now so familiar. i do however think Read Moreeveryone in the lower southern US should be also aware. understandable, my husband just wants to get the heck out of this particular house. at this point, im trying to figure our how many other people have seen these insects in ramona, or been bitten so that we can see if moving from this home will help or if in fact we may encounter the same situation or even worse elsewhere in thai same region. I also spoke to the san diego vector control and learn a few more things. disappointed that he told me there was no way to control them. of course, with any public health issue, education is always the least and fair thing to do.
