We are following you here as well Joe. You do not represent Ramona, nor have your tactics beenRead Morealtru istic. I suggest no one be fooled by Mr Minervini and that they work with RCPG instead. If he disagrees with you, he calls you out to the local corner to debate and educate him as the "American Way" and uses character assassination to try to force his opine as the only opine. He has worked tirelessly to get folks to work against RCPG and has tried to turn resident against resident.

Let's all cease any/all personal attacks and address issues, and gather information, PLEASE! (The Read MoreCounty of SD probably saves a lot lot of money because of the fights amongst ourselves in this town..... )

I'll stop when Mr Minervini stops pretending to have influence over Ramona. I was treated veryRead Morehosti ly and threateningly by him and his group at the RCPG meeting. His group has held hostage to the RCPG members and harassed them to no end. No Mr. Minervini is going to get recognition for this at the next RCPG meeting as I will see my complaint against him and his group is put in the public record. They have said some many untrue and vile things against RCPG they deserve no respite. I lost all sympathy for CFARR and Mr. Minervini. I suggest you go read some of their posts on the Sentinel and the Sentinel has left up for me to make as public as possible. I suggest Mr. Minervini stop trying to sidestep the RCPG for his own glorification and work with them and START treating them with some humanity. I will not respect him until he does and will continue to speak out against his false efforts. If anyone wants to get involved and help get Ramona some support and recognition, I suggest they go the RCPG meetings and work with them. We have a great bunch of folks in there now and they are getting big things done. They don't call neighbors out to "debate" (ya sure) to the local street corner for disagreeing with others, like Mr. Minervini. So if you hear more from Mr. Minervini on the social media about Ramona roads expect to hear more from me.

I was one of the 50 "angry" residents who showed up not only for the last RCPG meeting,Read Morebu t also the Trails and Transportation meeting where the board voted to recommend removing all parts of the South Bypass, including the Dye Rd. extension and the Dye Street extension. Between the 2 meetings only 2 Ramona residents spoke in favor of the bypass. It is my opinion that a vast majority of Ramona residents do not want the Bypass, but that is not really the issue. The issue is, will the bypass hurt or help Ramona? I keep hearing at these meetings from the board members that this project was on the books before any of them took office. Seems to me like they are just passing the buck. I have taken a look at each part of the bypass and Phase 1 and Phase 2 make no sense without Phase 3, and even then I am skeptical they will make any difference at all. Let's look st Dye St. The only person on the board that made any logical argument in favor of Dye St. was Scottie Ensign, who stated that Dye St. would allow residents of Mussey Grade an option to come down to Dye Rd and get on HWY 67 at a safe intersection with a light. My argument against that is, I envision people coming up Dye Rd in the morning, and not wanting to wait for that horrendously long light, and instead cutting thru the Dye St extension and creating more of a back up at Mussey grade then there is now. Rarely do I see more than 2-3 cars waiting to come out on the 67 from Mussey Grade Rd. Put in Dye St and that will increase 10 fold. As much as I hate to say it, the only way to help the people on Mussey Grade without causing more backup on Dye and Mussey Grade is to put a light at the intersection of 67 and Mussey Grade. As far as the Dye Rd Extension, I really don't see how spending millions of dollars to put a curved road there as opposed to what is there now is going to save lives, time, or decrease traffic anywhere. This is just my opinion but I really think that we need to take a closer look at where this money can better be spent. Improve side roads in town? I would happily drive down some of the back roads that run parallel to 67 if I didn't think my truck was going to be swallowed up by a giant hole in the road. Again this is MY opinion and I am not attacking anyone here. Let's try and keep this forum civil and have a reasonable debate about the issues and avoid the name calling and not so veiled threats. John Hancock A not so angry citizen of Ramona

I wish to add the RCPG has voted and vetted this topic not once but many times over the last 10 orRead Mores o years. They were elected to represent the majority and they have done so many times over the years and again this year.

I am sure they have , but in this case I don't think they have. The vast majority of people I haveRead Mores poken to in person and via social media, not to mention at the RCPG meetings, are against the Bypass. Maybe I am talking to the wrong people? I have no doubt that the Planning Group members do what they think is in the best interest of the community. I am sure it is a difficult and mostly thankless job and they have to deal with angry residents all of the time. I applaud them for their service to the community. I definitely plan on being an active member of the Ramona community and would hope that discussions like this can be kept civil in the future. I believe Ramona will be a much better place to live if we work together and not against each other.
