The Blockbuster store on Main Street is now liquidating its products and expects to close its doors by April at the latest.

A big yellow sign outside the store lets customers know that the closure refers to just the Ramona location, not the entire system of Blockbuster stores.

The store will keep its usual hours during the liquidation, which is expected to last four to 12 weeks, according to staff. Customers are no longer able to rent videos.

Products have been reduced by 10 percent so far, according to staff. They expect the most popular movies to be sold out soon, then products will be further reduced in price.

The Blockbuster corporate spokeperson did not respond to the Patch request for comment within the time constraints of this report.

Good, that was a traffic problem when cars backed out and cars were pulling in and cars on Ramona St. were slamming on brakes.
How about a skating room! Less traffic and the skate boards wont have to move but a couple hundred feet to be there instead of parking lot! Rent could be subsidized by service Clubs and other concerned people.

Good? Really? Ignorant and asinine comments abound on this site. You want a business to close and people to lose their jobs because you can't pay enough attention to your driving? Put down your cell phone, quit picking your nose, and pay attention when approaching what is a KNOWN bottleneck. Besides, half those cars belong to people going to Stater Bros. So you want Stater Bros to close down, too, because you can't pay attention? To make YOUR life easier, let's do away with every place that has the possibility of cars backing up and slowing down traffic. God forbid traffic slow down in a parking lot!

Calm down, I did not say I was on the phone, nor inconvenienced nor that I wanted anyone to lose a job. Stater Bros is not the 30 sec. in & out high traffic located at an entrance. Shopping Ctr. parking design Best Practice has such store on other side of entrance. Parking lot speed was not my issue, it was Ramona st, speed. It is not my hurry I was observing or siting. I wanted to shed a positive light on a store closure offering a solution to kids and trouble from the absence of a skate park. Turn liabilities into assets is what is needed in todays negative world. You read way too much into my solution. Read it again. Sorry I upset you.

Blockbuster leaving isn't going to fix the "traffic problem." But Blockbuster is long past its time. They simply could not compete with online rental. Their investors should have pulled the plug long ago.
